Yonex Power Cushion 65Z Series Shoes

TOKYO, Japan –The classic fit just got an upgrade. Since its initial debut in 2001, the globally acclaimed POWER CUSHION 65 Z has been celebrated as Yonex’s all-around badminton shoes. The latest generation, launching on January 24, 2025, delivers enhanced comfort and a “shoeless feel”, now refined to achieve the ideal fit for every player.

To ensure a stress-free fit, the shoe’s structure and technology have also been refined. The new POWER CUSHION 65 Z utilizes an integrated inner bootie, replacing the conventional two-piece structure. This design creates a smooth transition from the toe to the midfoot, offering a secure and comfortable fit during intense movements. The seamless upper has been expanded in the new version, ensuring soft, comfortable support even during foot flexion. The ergonomically shaped outsole has been lowered for better alignment and flexibility, boosting dash power and supporting quick, responsive footwork to elevate players' performance.

The POWER CUSHION+ within the sole component also remains a cornerstone, converting every step into energy for the next move. At the base, Power Graphite Lite is incorporated to deliver a lightweight feel with improved landing stability, empowering players during fast-paced action on the court.

The new generation of POWER CUSHION 65 Z debuted at the 2024 BWF World Tour Finals in China, worn by athletes such as Kunlavut Vitidsarn (THA), Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik (MAS), Jiang Zhen Bang, and Wei Ya Xin (CHN). The new version is scheduled for a global launch on January 24, 2025, with four distinct fits, as well as X and Junior models.
